FAQs

Which straightening option is best for me?

Don’t worry, we are here to help! Your treatment time and outcome is based on the complexity of your case and the type of straightening system which is best for you. Often, patients prefer discreet aligners, such as Invisalign, which are particularly good if you are feeling self-conscious about the prospect of fixed braces. Fixed braces are often recommended in more complex cases.

Following a smile consultation, we will be able to understand your personal smile goals and recommend a treatment system that is right for you and your specific lifestyle.

Am I too old for braces?

No, you can choose to straighten your teeth at any age! We will need to assess your dental health before confirming if you are suitable, but age is not a factor. Whether you’re in your 70s or your teens, you’ll find teeth straightening has never been more popular with patients. Book your smile consultation appointment today and start your smile transformation journey.

How much will straightening cost?

We ensure our prices are extremely competitive when compared to other dentists in the surrounding Leeds area. Teeth straightening starts from £1995 and the cost can be spread with our 0% interest free flexible payment plans, making treatment much more affordable. During your smile consultation, together both you and the dentist will develop a bespoke treatment plan tailored to suit both your needs and your budget.

How long does teeth straightening take?

Depending on the complexity of your case, you can achieve your dream smile in as little as 12 weeks. Typically, most cases take between 6-12 months.

Does teeth straightening hurt?

You may experience some initial discomfort, typically described as a feeling of pressure. This is normal and is a sign the treatment is working, as your teeth are starting to move into their desired position. Any discomfort should go away after taking pain relief or after a week or so.

After completing treatment, how do I maintain my new smile?

Retainers are essential as the last part of your orthodontic treatment. To keep your teeth straight and prevent them moving back to their original position, you will need to wear retainers to hold the teeth in their new position. Initially, these retainers need to be worn through the day as well as at night. However, after a couple of months these retainers only need to be worn at night.
